The Daily: Super-powered supplement that makes you un-hate your hormones at any age

As women, we know hormones can be the bane of our existence and sometimes make us feel like absolute garbage.

During the years of our menstrual cycles, we can battle things like breakouts, food cravings, low energy, & mood swings that make you rival a rabid T-rex. Going off birth control can make you feel like you’re on a roller coaster of hormones as your body readjusts.

As if those menstrual years weren’t hellacious enough, those same symptoms can carry over into perimenopause and menopause just when you thought they would be a thing of the past. WHAT WHY?! Because of fluctuations in your hormones. They don’t magically disappear during menopause. They’re just a bit different.

BUT, what if I told you it doesn’t have to be this way and you don’t have to feel this way? You probably wouldn’t believe me, right? I was a skeptic too just like you. I had just accepted my hormone issues as a part of life as a woman. But I’m here to tell you, we don’t have to suffer. Let me fill you in on my new BFF, a supplement called The Daily.

It’s a high-quality supplement & why it matters

Sure, I could have just run to my nearest store shelves & picked from the menagerie of hormonal supplements on the shelves, but I wanted to know I wasn’t wasting my money. That I was going to purchase something that would work. That I was picking something with quality ingredients.

Unfortunately, about half of all multivitamins and supplements on the market don’t do what they say they’ll do or don’t have ingredients in their products at the levels listed on the bottle, not to mention they are synthetic. This means your body won’t metabolize it well because it’s not bioavailable.

Ever take a supplement or multivitamin only for your urine to be bright yellow after taking it? Me too! That’s everything your body wasn’t able to use & filtered out from the supplement.

Since I know the supplement industry isn’t regulated well, I did a deep dive of research to find a quality supplement like The Daily. Here’s why I’m over the moon about it:

  • Vegan
  • Gluten-free
  • Nut-free
  • Soy-free
  • Non-GMO
  • Sugar-free-why should there be sugar in your supplements, anyways?!
  • Plant-based-easier absorption because your body knows what the heck to do with it since it isn’t synthetic!
  • Hormone-free
  • Drug-free
  • Cruelty-free
  • Preservatives-free
  • Free of fake fillers
  • Rigorous testing of products to make sure they are free of heavy metals & pesticides
  • Outstanding clinical trial results available to the public-full transparency!

I was sold alone on the list above, but let’s take a closer look at the plant-based ingredients and why they work wonders.

Berberine Phytosome

When I first read this, I thought, Berbe- what??? I had never heard of it.

Berberine is an alkaloid compound that is extracted from many different plants and has been used in Asia for thousands of years as a traditional approach to dealing with blood sugar and diabetes. Experiments with berberine have found it to be nearly as effective at supporting healthy blood sugar as a common pharmaceutical drug for diabetes called Metformin. MIND BLOWN!

Studies have found that not only is berberine effective at promoting healthy blood sugar levels, but it can also help with promoting a healthy gut microbiome. Having a healthy gut microbiome is key to helping you feel your absolute best. Having good gut health has also been proven to help with issues like acne. Having a healthy gut also contributes to improved mood.

The Berberine Phytosome that The Daily uses is a patented extract of berberine that has been microencapsulated in a phytosome. The phytosome is a special structure of sunflower lecithin that ensures your body can absorb the plant extracts as they pass through your body. The pure extract (Berberine HCl) is poorly absorbed in the intestines, and encapsulating it in a phytosome ensures that you absorb all of the goodness!

B Vitamin

The majority of people know what B vitamins are and that they are typically associated with improved energy levels. Vegans are frequently at risk for low levels of Vitamin B12 and so taking a supplement like The Daily can help. There are studies suggesting that intake of B1 and B6 can help reduce PMS symptoms and improve mood.

Recent genetics research suggests that some people have a gene mutation that makes it hard for them to process and use folic acid. Because of that, The Daily uses a form of folate (methylate folate) that is more bioavailable.

Grape Seed Extract

Grape seed extract is a polyphenol-rich extract made from the seeds of wine grapes…YUM! Grape seed extract is full of a particular type of polyphenols called proanthocyanidins which are powerful antioxidants and have been shown to help promote healthy cholesterol levels and reduce oxidative stress. Not only does grape seed extract promote heart health, but it has been shown to improve skin quality. Who doesn’t love glowing skin?!

Passionflower

Passionflower is a wildflower that has been traditionally used to help relax and calm. It was widely used by indigenous Americans to help with anxiety and promote feeling calm. It was then introduced to Europe where it soon became a standard part of traditional medicine.

Passionflower extract is widely used to help with anxiety, to combat insomnia and has been shown to help with a proper and healthy response to inflammation. An all-around powerhouse to help with mood.

The Daily’s Passionflower extract is carefully grown and harvested and rigorously tested both for purity and for pesticide contamination.

Magnesium

Many of us don’t get sufficient magnesium in our diets. A study showed about HALF of all Americans have low Magnesium levels. Magnesium is a critical electrolyte that our bodies need for electrical signals in muscles and nerves to work properly. Plus, it is critical to over 300 different reactions in our cells. Because it is so important, low levels of magnesium in our diets put stress on our bodies and have been associated with increased chronic inflammation. So, if you’re low in magnesium, then supplementing with magnesium can help your body relax, and has been shown to help with bloating and cramps during menstruation. YIPPEE!!

Magnesium is also critical to how our bodies respond to food and to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. People with low magnesium are much more likely to be insulin resistant, and supplementing with magnesium has been shown to help maintain healthy blood sugar.

Zinc

Zinc is an essential dietary mineral. Although most people get enough zinc from their diets, low zinc levels are strongly linked with insulin resistance, acne, and depression.

For people with low levels of zinc, dietary supplements have been shown to help improve blood sugar levels, reduce acne and improve mood. Zinc has also been linked with sebum production and can help regulate the amount of oil on our skin. Say hello to potentially clearer skin!

Cheap zinc supplements commonly use zinc sulfate, which is poorly absorbed by your body and can lead to upset stomachs. We make sure to use a form of zinc that your body can actually process and absorb called zinc glycinate.

All of these ingredients point to helping with hormonal struggles I have already mentioned, like acne, mood swings, more energy, etc., but are you wanting even more proof that they work as I did? Let’s get to it then!

The proof is in the pudding…or in the clinical trial results in this case

There aren’t many companies out there that have clinical trial data. Let alone that they WILLINGLY share with the public and their customers. The clinical trial data on The Daily is impressive, to say the least. Here’s what customers experienced only after 2 months:

  • 86% had fewer mood swings
  • 87% had less anxiety
  • 73% had an improvement in skin quality and smoothness
  • 76% had fewer food cravings
  • Lowered total cholesterol by an average of 43 points
  • Lowered total fasting insulin by about 6 points
  • Lost 1.83lbs on average

These types of results are simply mind-blowing and what convinced me to buy the product.

Other questions I had before buying this product

Are the capsules the size of a large horse pill?

The answer to that is no. I don’t have any issues with swallowing these capsules. It’s roughly about as long as the first section of the tip of your finger & a little bit skinnier than my pinky finger. For reference…I don’t have chunky phalanges.

How often do I have to take it and is there a better time of day to take it?

It is recommended to take 2 capsules daily with your breakfast.

Will this support me & my hormones at any age?

110% abso-freakin-lutely! You won’t have to change supplements as you age because this is great for those in their menstrual years to help with hormones, those going off of birth control, and those that are perimenopausal or if you’re in menopause.
