Not to kill the mood, but is anyone else out there constantly thinking about the fact that you need to pee immediately after it’s over so you can avoid a UTI? I know, I know, that’s not where my head should be in that moment but as someone who’s experienced it so many times before, it’s just where my mind goes.
The not-so-sexy side of getting busy
The ugly truth is that female anatomy is more susceptible to UTIs than male anatomy. We have a shorter urethra which shortens the distance bacteria need to travel to reach our bladders. And those of us who are sexually active tend to be more at risk for UTIs than those who aren’t.
So now you know why I can’t help but think about it and now you’re thinking about it too.

I’ve gotten a UTI after having sex and it was not fun.
- The strong and constant urge to go
- Getting there and almost nothing coming out
- That burning sensation with the little bit that does dribble out
It’s a nightmare. You don’t want to go anywhere because you want to be close enough to a toilet to deal with it in peace.
I got really sick of being put on antibiotics when this would happen because it obliterated my gut bacteria which just made me feel crummy. Depending on the specific antibiotic and how long I was on it, that cost would add up too. Not to mention whatever my copay was for my doctor, or pending I couldn’t be seen by her soon enough, for urgent care.
Add in the fact that bacteria have become resistant to a lot of antibiotics, it just makes it feel like a lose-lose situation. I wanted to take a more proactive, preventative approach.
I read something that said peeing before sex could help prevent UTIs because you’re eliminating bacteria from the bladder in the first place. It helped to a degree, but I still ended up with a UTI a few months down the line.
I really wanted to break up with antibiotics at this point, so I started searching for a more natural approach.

The search for the magic pill
I found some options but noticed that most of them were either, a multi-step system—which meant buying more products and shelling out more cash—or a very targeted product that only helped with one or two aspects of bladder health. I wanted something that would do all the things. Sorry, not sorry.
I also needed something that would give me relief fast when I needed it. I don’t want to wait days to feel better. In the words of Verruca Salt, “I want it now!”
I mean, do some #girlmath with me. If my partner and I are going off on a romantic getaway Friday but I get a UTI Wednesday, that means I have less than 48 hours to get in my everything shower, pack, wrap up my work week a smidge early and get rid of this UTI?! Yeah right! Most products on the market take a minimum of 2-3 days to start working. I did not have time for that.
That’s when I stumbled upon Semaine Health’s Urinary Tract Cleanse & Protect. I’ll be honest here; the name is most of what sold me on learning more. It sounded so powerful, the kind of solution I was looking for.
And it’s exactly that. Super potent relief and prevention for UTIs. And you only need one a day. One.
A lot of other products I was looking at required you to take 2-3 per day. I even read some reviews of customers who only take them as needed or every other day. I was like, “Man, this stuff must be the real deal.”
So, what’s in it? I’m glad you asked. It’s comprised of only two ingredients—both of which you can pronounce. There are zero filler ingredients in this baby.

- Cranberry phytosome: This is not your average cranberry. They use a patented formula that contains ample active cranberry polyphenols for efficacy and that guarantees delivery to your bladder. (Not once did it cross my mind that some supplements may not even reach my bladder. 🤯)
- Its role: Cranberry has the unique ability to effectively bind to bacteria, preventing them from attaching to the bladder walls.
- Hibiscus extract: The active compounds of the flower are preserved through a gentle water extraction that concentrates the beneficial properties.
- Its role: Hibiscus boosts immunity and acts as a mild diuretic to aid in bladder cleansing. It also supports the kidneys.
Then I saw the clinical trial results. I didn’t need any more convincing, but these pushed me over the edge.

- There was a 55% reduction in biofilm growth (aka reduces the chance of bad bacteria becoming dormant) within 12 hours of the first dose
- Participants rated their bladder pain improvement by 5.3x after taking Urinary Tract Cleanse & Protect
- Within 3 months of starting the trial, 100% of participants were UTI free
I ordered mine immediately.

Goodbye UTIs, hello stress-free intimacy
The second I got my “Your order was delivered,” notification, I was at my front door. I was so excited to get some relief and kick UTIs to the curb for good. The bottle said I could take them every 12 hours if I needed extra support, so I decided to take that approach.
I couldn’t believe how much better I felt in just 24 hours. I had only taken two capsules. Antibiotics never kicked in that fast for me—I was lucky to be feeling better by day three with those. And with these capsules, I knew I wasn’t upsetting the delicate microbiome in my gut and my lady parts.
I actually started taking a capsule after doing the deed for peace of mind—a little extra help flushing out bacteria. And I’m happy to report that I have not suffered a single UTI since starting to take this supplement. It’s a super effective way to prevent and treat UTIs.
If you’re tired of cutting down on intimacy to cut down on UTIs, you need this little purple capsule in your corner. Now that’s #girlmath.
Right now, you can grab your first bottle of Urinary Tract Cleanse & Protect risk-free and keep enjoying your partner without the stress of UTIs.
Use code BYEUTI to get 20% off.

This supplement and I are officially in a long-term relationship and I’m never letting go.

I have had a kidney transplant. Would it be safe to take these for my UTI’S? Thank you.
Best to check with your doctor for that. Semaine has whitepapers that were designed to make it easier to talk to your doctor. Hope that helps.

I do not eat sugar in any form.. not even in natural fruit. Does the cranberry in this product affect blood sugar levels?
Nope. It does not contain any sugar at all.
I am scared to try it and a negative result. What can you do to help me believe
I can share the link to the clinical trial on it’s main ingredient – https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34632933/

Can i give this to my dog who has bladder bacteria
No it’s not recommended for pets.
I have IC and can’t drink Cranberry juice or anything with an acidic nature. How is this different?
Many IC patients have found significant relief with our Urinary Tract Cleanse & Protect, which uses a non-irritating cranberry phytosome. It’s highly bioavailable and better absorbed than most cranberry extracts available.
How big are these pills ? Can’t swallow big pills or capsules
They really aren’t too big. Smaller than a Tylenol capsule. You can also open them up and put the contents in food or beverages.
Can people with interstitial cystitis take this?

This article says it only contains two ingredients. The bottle says it also contains sunflower lecithin, rice flower, and magnesium stearate. Which is right?
Sorry for any confusion. There are two main ingredients – Cranberry Phytosome and Hibiscus.
Sunflower lecithin helps the cranberry be more bioavailable and the rice flower, and magnesium stearate help the material not clump together. That’s why they are listed as ‘other ingredients.’
Hope that helps!
I LOVE this stuff! The article looks like I could have written it.. thank you so much for this product!!!!!!!!!
Awwwww. That is wonderful to hear. I appreciate you sharing that so much. How quickly did you notice a difference with Semaine?
